The Public Safety Training and Technical Assistance Program (PSTTAP) provides Maryland’s public safety agencies and community organizations with opportunities to obtain grant and other funding they may not have the resources to pursue otherwise.

PSTTAP manages over $15M to support various Federal, State and Local projects

Administered by the University of Maryland College of Behavioral and Social Sciences, PSTTAP avails its clients of the University’s exceptional applied research resources, expedited procurement procedures, strong fiscal management, and its principals’ extraordinary practical experience.

PSTTAP has the proven capability and expertise to handle all of the fiscal responsibilities related to grant implementation for its clients so that they can do what they do best—deliver services that enhance Marylanders’ public safety.  These responsibilities include:

  • Identifying funding sources
  • Working with clients to prepare grant applications
  • Preparing and submitting clients’ quarterly grant report forms
  • Managing hiring, payroll, contracting, procurement and inventory
