Administered by the University of Maryland College of Behavioral and Social Sciences, PSTTAP avails its clients of the University’s exceptional applied research resources, expedited procurement procedures, strong fiscal management, and its principals’ extraordinary practical experience.
Through our Technical Assistance with Grants (TAGS) Program, PSTTAP offers its clients the ability to identify, apply for, and manage grants for training and technical assistance. PSTTAP specializes in grants from the Maryland Governor’s Office of Crime Control and Prevention, Byrne-Justice Assistance Grant Program, Office of Community Oriented Policing Services, Bureau of Justice Assistance, and Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, with a particular focus on areas such as:
- Homeland security
- Drug enforcement, treatment, and prevention
- Intelligence
- Crime analysis
- Gangs
- Violent crime
- Geo-spatial analysis
- Performance management
- Computer technology
- Communications
- Electronic eavesdropping/Surveillance
- Procurement
PSTTAP has the proven capability and expertise to handle all of the fiscal responsibilities related to grant implementation for its clients so that they can do what they do best—deliver services that enhance Marylanders’ public safety. These responsibilities include:
- Identifying funding sources
- Working with clients to prepare grant applications
- Preparing and submitting clients’ quarterly grant report forms
- Managing hiring, payroll, contracting, procurement and inventory
