PSTTAP/TAGS lands $856,000 in Byrne Justice Recovery Act Grant Funding, November 2009.

PSTTAP/TAGS lands $856,000 in funding for three Maryland police agencies from the Byrne Justice Recovery Act (JRA) grant program. The Carroll County (Md.) Sheriff’s Office is receiving $597,440 for its Police Data Communications Interoperability (PDCI) project from the JRA program. The PDCI provides for the purchase of mobile data computers and related installation for multiple agencies in Carroll County, Md. The Hyattsville (Md.) Police Department is receiving $166,693 for its In-Car Camera Acquisition (ICCA) initiative, as part of the JRA program. The ICCA funds the purchase of 30 in-car cameras and related hardware and software for Hyattsville police officers. The Riverdale Park (Md.) Police Department is receiving $104,140 for its Secure Storage and Communications Technology Enhancement (SSCTE) project from the JRA program. The SSCTE project provides for the purchase of a secure communications technology infrastructure and adequate storage, as well as mobile communications hardware and software to support Riverdale Park police officers’ needs in the field.
